The Organizations of Tarn: The Elysian Militia

The Elysian Militia is made up of young recruits who wish to aid the Empire and receive training, with the potential and opportunity to become Wardens in the future. These like-minded youth aid the wardens in upholding the laws of Elysia and hold a strong devotion to the Empress and her golden Empire. Under the instruction and training schedule of Wardens the Militia protects and serves the interests of the citizenry. Any citizen who wishes to uphold the law and give back to their home can become a militia member assuming they have no ties to the Dark Gods and the evil path in which they follow. The Militia can usually be seen in various parts of Elysia training, drilling, or on patrol, and are always willing to lend a hand to a citizen in need. When the sounds of combat rise in Tarn the Militia are some of the first to step forward and aid their homeland and give their lives in its defence.

(For those wishing to join the militia send a note to the Empire to set up an interview.)

The Militia follow a regimented schedule designed to assist them in their training. All members of the Militia are expected to be familiar with the schedule and follow it intently.

Militia members are expected to adhere to the schedule, or face the punishment of their superiors, the Wardens.

The purpose of the schedule is to provide members of the Militia with something to do at all times. The schedule adds structure to the life of a Militia person (which makes sense since they're somewhat of an army), and will automatically create roleplaying opportunities for everyone involved.

The purpose of this schedule is not to overwhelm players or provide them with boring activities. The purpose is to create some form of legitimate, realistic and interesting army of people and to create RP. Militia members should -never- be asking, "What am I supposed to be doing?" Or, "What is the point of being in the militia?" Now, it's very clear what Militia members should be doing and when.

The Elysian Militia Training, Organizational and Maintenance Schedule:

DWEI: 1st day of the week, general training and maintenance

  • Late Morning- Militia members and recruits are to rise and begin maintenance on their equipment and weapons. Everything needs to be polished and sharpened. • Midday- Break so all recruits can rest and eat in the mess hall at the Citadel.

  • Afternoon- Combat training. Each recruit will be paired with someone of a similar level of experience. Those of different skills will work together so everyone has knowledge of various fighting techniques.

  • Late Afternoon- Elysian patrol. All recruits will be given an area to patrol and will do so at this time to help any guards on duty and assist wardens as needed. Recruits must report back any news of importance to their commanding officer.

  • Dusk- Personal time for recruits following their patrol. Recruits are free to do as they please. Another patrol should be completed of your area on the way home, before checking out as evening arrives.

  • Night-Predawn- Recruits get the night off to do as they wish before an early rise on Giakin.
