The Deities of Tarn: Taernyl

Sphere of Influence: Taernyl is the kender God of Adventure. He looks down favorably upon those who crave a life of excitement, exploration and adventure. Taernyl is particularly involved with the kender, with whom he shares a characteristic kender personality and moral code.

Types of Followers: The church of Adventure accepts a wide range of followers. Some will crave success in great battles, roaming the lands to slay mystical creatures. Others will be more interested in mapping out uncharted jungles. Many of his followers are very individualistic and determined, unable to settle down and live a peaceful life. It is not uncommon to find his followers sharing some similarities to the kender, who have an odd sense of right and wrong. Most within the church of Adventure will walk the Gray path, since adventure itself, in its purest form, has neither good or evil intentions.

Marks: Those who are devoted to Taernyl, but have yet to be accepted by him, wear a topknot in their hair. Those that have been accepted fully by the God, bear a living map on their forearms.
